Overview

Patundas Trek is one of the most breathtaking high-altitude treks in the Gojal region of Upper Hunza, in Hunza Valley. This trek rewards adventurers with panoramic views of massive glaciers and some of the highest peaks in the Karakoram Range.

From the top of Patundas Meadow, you can witness more than 16 peaks above 7,000 meters, including Batura Peak, Passu Peak, Distaghil Sar, Momhil Sar, and Rakaposhi.

On one side lies the mighty Batura Glacier (one of the longest glaciers outside polar regions), and on the other, the scenic Passu Glacier. The combination of glaciers, alpine meadows, and dramatic peaks makes Patundas one of the most rewarding treks in Pakistan.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Arrival in Islamabad

Arrival at Islamabad. Meet & greet at the airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

Day 2 :

Fly to Gilgit & Travel to Hunza

Fly from Islamabad to Gilgit. Meet your guide and drive to Hunza Valley. Free time to explore Karimabad or take a short walk. Overnight stay in Hunza

Day 3 :

Trek to Luzdhur Camp

Drive to Borith Lake (2,800m). Start trekking towards Passugar (2 hours). After rest and refreshments, cross the Passu Glacier (technical section) to reach Luzdhur Camp (3,500m). Overnight camping.

Day 4 :

Trek to Patundas Meadow

Trek through alpine trails to reach Patundas Meadow (4,300m). Enjoy breathtaking views of glaciers and peaks. Camp at Patundas or return to Luzdhur depending on weather.

Day 5 :

Return to Passu

Descend back to Borith Lake and transfer to Passu. Overnight stay in Passu

Day 6 :

Explore Upper Hunza

Visit Hussaini Suspension Bridge. Optional hike to Baskochi Meadows for aerial views of Attabad Lake and Passu Cones. Overnight stay in Hunza.

Day 7 :

Return to Gilgit

Visit historical Altit Fort and Duikar viewpoint for panoramic mountain views. Drive back to Gilgit. Overnight stay.

Day 8 :

Fly to Islamabad

Fly back to Islamabad. Optional city tour. Overnight stay.

Day 9 :

Departure

Transfer to airport for international departure.
